The Indianapolis Colts signed  free agent quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. In Indianapolis the 37-year-old would backup second year stater Andrew Luck. The deal is worth $8 million over the next two seasons.

Hasselbeck would replace Drew Stanton who signed a deal with Arizona.

Hasselbeck played in eight games for the Titans last season, starting five times when Locker was injured. The Titans were 2-3 under Hasselbeck. Overall, he completed 62.4% of his passes for 1,367 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions.

The highlight of Hasselbeck’s career happened during his time in Seattle. It was there that he was selected to the Pro Bowl and led the Seahawks to Super Bowl XL.

If the Colts are looking for someone to help steer the career of Luck there are few better options at backup then Hasselbeck.
