Mike Shanahan plans to keep his cards close in regards to the status of Robert Griffin III.

When asked if he planned to string out the uncertainty surrounding the status of Griffin for Sunday’s game head coach Mike Shanahan said “probably.” Still Shanahan was impressed with what he did see.

“He was limited,”Shanahan said, “but I was impressed with how he worked and what he did.”

Griffin’s left knee was injured late in the Redskins Week 14 game against Baltimore. He left the game and was replaced by Kirk Cousins. Cousins would play on Sunday against Cleveland if Griffin is unable to go.

All signs point to Griffin playing on Sunday.

“I did enough to give myself the confidence to push it tomorrow and then on Friday,” Griffin said.
