DeMarco Murray looks probable, Felix Jones returns to practice

The Dallas Cowboys may have both DeMarco Murray and Felix Jones for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Murray returned to practice this week after being out since a Oct. 14 game against Baltimore. The Cowboys likely will also have Felix Jones.

The left foot of Murray has been an ongoing storyline for the Cowboys who have fallen to last in the NFL in rushing, averaging a mere 78.7 per game.

“We handed him the ball,” coach Jason Garrett told The Dallas Morning News after pratice. “We threw him the ball a little bit. He looked pretty comfortable out there. We haven’t seen that in about a month-and-a-half. It was the first step back into it.”

Jones who has had problems with his knees was able to practice on Thursday. Should Murray be able to go his workload should be significantly lighter.

At 5-6 on the season the Cowboys need a win on Sunday to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
