Adrian Peterson overslept and missed bus before Bears game

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson missed the bus to Soldier Field on Sunday.  The star running back was roughly 20 minutes late to the stadium for the Vikings game last weekend against the Bears.

The reason Peterson was late to the stadium was unknown until Thursday when he announced that he overslept and slept through the wakeup call at his hotel.

Peterson called the situation “unfortunate” and says he spoke to coach Leslie Frazier about the incident.

Frazier has been less then thrilled about the incident.

“Anytime one of your leaders is not where he’s supposed to be, it’s not good,” Frazier said Monday. “I talk to our team all the time about being where you’re supposed to be and being on time. It’s a big deal.”

The Vikings lost to the Bears on Sunday and have a tough match-up this weekend when they travel to Lambeau Field to play against Green Bay.
