Former San Diego State running back Adam Muema has been found.
Muema made headlines when he left the NFL combine after being told by God to do so. He said his dream of playing for the Seattle Seahawks would be met. After that Muema disappeared.
On Thursday Muema was found at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport still wearing his NFL combine gear according to UT San Diego.
Muema phoned ex-Oklahoma linebacker Corey Nelson and asked him for a ride. He had been in the airport since his flight from Indianapolis landed.
“He said he was at the airport for three days straight,” Nelson said. “He was telling me when I picked him up that God told him to stay at the airport and don’t do anything. Just stay there. That’s what he did for three days straight.
“On the fourth day, he told me he couldn’t do it anymore. He decided to call me.”
When asked via phone where he was going by UT San Diego he said “home.”
He was dropped back off at the airport.
