One woman is dead after a Iron Bowl party. The No. 4 Auburn Tiges handed the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide the loss in the game thanks to a missed field goal returned 109 yards for a touchdown.
An adult female was shot and pronounced dead on the scene at about 7 p.m. at the Summerchase at Riverchase apartments in Hoover, AL. The woman was in her 30s according to Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis.
Another female was taken into custody but has yet to be charged according to Derzis.
Residents at the complex said there are frequent parties where the shooting happened. Police acknowledged that there was a party for Auburn/Alabama but was unsure if the shooting was related to the game.
