Alabama’s quest to becoming the first three-peat starts on Saturday against Virginia Tech.
It is no surprise that the Nick Saban led Crimson Tide enters the season as No. 1 in both the USA Today Coaches and AP poll but Saban has been quick to remind everyone that the focus for a historic third straight National Title begins with Virginia Tech.
Alabama and Virginia Tech will play each other in the Georgia Dome at 5:30 pm ET on Saturday (August 31) with coverage airing on ESPN and WatchESPN.
The Crimson Tide enters the game as a massive 20 point favorite against Frank Beamer’s banged up Hokies. The over/under for this game is set at 45.5 total points.
Most analysts believe that the more experienced and talented Alabama will give Virginia Tech a heaping taste of it’s ground game. Does Virginia Tech have any means of stopping Alabama from covering the nearly three touchdown spread? Or is it Roll Tide onward to a Sept. 14 match-up against Texas A&M?
