Alabama will begin the season as No. 1 in the College Football AP poll. The news is unsurprising as the Crimson Tide was the 2012 NCAA National Champion and was ranked No. 1 in the USA Today coaches poll.
The Crimson Tide received 58 of the 60 first place votes with Ohio State and Georgia each claiming one. Alabama is looking to become the first school to win three National Championships in a row.
Ohio State is No. 2 in the AP poll, much like they were in the coaches poll.
