Drew Loftus, Washington State receiver, arrested for trying to steal tequila

drewloftusAnother Washington State football player is in the headlines for the wrong reasons. Wide receiver Drew Loftus was caught trying to steal two bottles of tequila from a grocery store. This comes roughly a week after running back Leon Brooks was charged with driving under the influence.

Loftus tried to steal the bottles of tequila by shoving them down his pants.

When employees at the store noticed Loftus they blocked him from exiting the store and called police. Loftus then attempted to place the tequila back on the shelf but was caught by police/.

“You can’t get more possession than shoving it down your pants,” Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said.

As a redshirt freshman in 2012, Loftus had one catch for 37 yards.
