Former TCU quarterabck Casey Pachall has returned to the university and football team. Both head coach Gary Patterson and Pachall’s father told the Forth-Worth Star Telegram.

Pachall was suspended from the team after a DUI arrest in October and decided to enter a treatment facility for substance abuse. Patterson reports that the quarterback has taken the necessary steps to come back to the team.

“He looks great,”Patterson told the paper. “It’s like he looked when he was a freshman. Right now, we feel really good about this. It’s never going to be 100 percent perfect but there is a chance we did the right thing and made a difference. You’ve got to understand, everybody is going to be watching on this.”

While Pachall will compete for the chance to be the TCU stater, Patterson cautioned that he had not worked out in months.

Before Pachall was suspended he had completed 66 percent of his passes and threw 10 touchdowns to just one interception.
