Scratch Brian Kelly’s name from the list of teams seeking a new head coach. While meeting with reporters on Saturday, Kelly said that leaving Notre Dame “isn’t an option.”
Despite saying a move to the NFL was intriguing, Kelly believes he is in the right place right now.
“I think from my perspective I’ve got the best job in the country, NFL, college, high school, whatever,” Kelly said. “I just look at the place that I’m at and thankful for the opportunity that I have.”
Alabama head coach Nick Saban shared similiar thoughts about leaving his school. “I don’t have any unfinished business in the NFL,” Saban said.
