Joe Blanton has retired from baseball.
The right handed pitcher was released from the Los Angeles Angels at the end of spring training and later latched on with the Oakland Athletics. Assigned to Triple-A he has retired after two starts.
Joe Blanton has retired. Had been pitching for A's AAA team. Yes, #Angels still owe him all of his contract. Since they released him first.
