The Phillies have added veteran catcher Nick Hundley on a minor league contract.
Where Hundley fits in with the Phillies is unclear. He figures to be part of the team in September but whether or not it will be Andrew Knapp or him serving as the backup behind JT Realmuto until then remains to be seen.
The Athletics relesed Hundley last month after he posted a .200/.233/.357 line with two homers in 31 games.
