The Rays have acquired first baseman Jesus Aguilar in a trade with the Brewers.
ESPN’S Jeff Passan first broke the news of the trade which will send Jacob Faria to the Brewers.
This is a rare trade at the deadline between two teams contending for playoff spots.
An All-Star last season, Aguliar struggled to start this season. A recent hot stretch has pulled his numbers up to a .225 average and a .374 slugging percentage with eight homers and 34 R I through 94 games.
