The offseason has been relatively quiet for the Braves aside from a few rumors about Christan Yelich.
On Wednesday the team announced they had acquired right-handed pitcher Shane Carle from the Pirates. Carle, 26, made his big league debut last season with the Rockies making three appearances striking out four and posting a 6.75 ERA before finishing the year at Triple-A.
Mostly a starter in his minor league career, Carle recently covered to being a reliever full time. He’s merely organization depth from the Braves who picked him up after the Pirates had claimed him off waivers from the Rockies earlier this winter.
The #Braves have acquired RHP Shane Carle from the Pirates for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The 26-year-old made his MLB debut last season with Colorado.

The Braves will send a player to be named later or cash considerations to the Pirates at a later date.
Even with the Braves looking to revamp their relief corps the impact of Carle, if any, figures to be minimal.
