The Marlins are looking far and wide for a fourth outfielder to start the 2015 season.
Nate Schierholtz, Ichiro Suzuki, Andy Dirks and Will Venable are all options that the Marlins have considered.
Venable is the only player of those four that would require the Marlins to give up anything. Currently on the roster of the Padres he is expendable after the team acquired Matt Kemp, Justin Upton and Wil Myers this offseason. He is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
Schierholtz, Suzuki and Dirks would all be considered on one-year deals. Dirks, 29, may be the highest upside player of these three. He is a career .276/.332/.413 hitter.
