David Ross is drawing some interest on the free agent market from the Braves.
Ross, 37, previously played for the Braves from 2009 to 2011 before departing for the Red Sox.
While Ross had been a capable backup with the bat he regressed to a laughable .197/.276/.374 line in 80 games with the Red Sox over the past two seasons.
The Braves must be considering him a defensive option to share time with youngster Christian Bethancourt behind the plate. Ross is doubtful to get more than a one-year deal and if it is more than a minor league deal the Braves paid too much.
