The Chicago White Sox are among the teams interested in free agent outfielder Melky Cabrera.
Cabrera, 30, produced a fine.301/.351/.458 line with 16 home runs and 73 RBI in 139 games with the Toronto Blue Jays this past season. He rejected a $15.3 million qualifying offer from the Blue Jays to become a free agent thus he is tied to draft pick compensation.
The Blue Jays have gone on to sign catcher Russell Martin which likely means they will not be one of the teams lining up to sign Cabrera.
