If the return is strong, the Nationals will consider moving starting pitchers Jordan Zimmermann or Doug Fister.
Fister, 30, will become a free agent at the end of the season after posting a 2.41 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP in 164 innings of work.
At 28, Zimmermann is also coming off a strong 2014 season in which he posted a 2.66 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 182/29 K/BB ratio across 199 2/3 innings. Much like Fister he can become a free agent at the end of the season.
