While general manager Frank Wren was let go by the Atlanta Braves, the same fate will not fall on manager Fredi Gonzalez.
Interim general manager John Hart announced on Friday that Gonzalez would return for the 2015 season for a fifth season at the helm of the Braves. During Gonzalez’s time as the Braves manager the team has twice been to the playoffs and has won one divisional title.
Gonzalez’s contract is up at the end of the 2015 season and thus far the team has announced no plans for how they would fill their general manager role.
Former Houston manager Bo Porter will assume the third base coach position which had been held by Doug Dascenzo.
