The Milwaukee Brewers have added relief pitcher Jonathan Broxton to their bullpen. On Sunday the Brewers sent two players to be named later to the Cincinnati Reds.

Acquiring Broxton is not just a move for the stretch run as he becomes an option to close games next season for the Brewers should they allow Francisco Rodriguez to leave via free agency. Broxton is set to make $9 million next season and has a $1 million buyout for the 2016 season.

Broxton has a 1.86 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and seven saves over 51 games this season.
