Seattle Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon said on Monday that ace starting pitcher Felix Hernandex would be able to make his next start.
“He’s fine,” McClendon said via the Mariners website. “He may push [his bullpen] back. I’m not sure. Sometimes he pushes it back, sometimes he doesn’t even throw. But he’s fine.”
Hernandez was hit on a one-hopper in the fourth inning of his start against the Detroit.
The next start for Hernandez is on the road against Boston. On the season Hernandez is 13-4 with an AL best 1.99 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP though 26 starts.
