Tigers land David Price in three team deal

The Detroit Tigers have acquired left handed pitcher David Price from the Tampa Bay Rays.

While Price to the Tigers is part of a three team deal, he is the big name that sees Drew Smyly and Nick Franklin headed to the Rays. The Mariners land center fielder Austin Jackson in the deal.

Adding Price to the Tigers rotation gives them a a tough top four with Justin Verlander, Anibal Sanchez and Max Scherzer already on their roster.

In 22 starts this season Price was 11-7 with a 3.08 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP.
