The New York Yankees are interested in left handed pitcher John Danks but are hesitant to pull the trigger on a trade for the 29-year-old due to the $28.5 million owed to him over the next two seasons.
Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports the Yankees have “no real interest” in adding Danks if they will be on the hook for the entire cost of his contract for 2015 and 2016. Danks will make $14.25 million in each of the next two seasons.
A lot of chatter about the Yankees/John Danks, but I'm told NYY has no real interest in picking up the $28.5 million he'll make in 2015-16.

In 21 starts this season Danks has a 4.40 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP to go with a 92/46 K/BB ratio.
