Jake Peavy threw his second straight quality start Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles. On hand to see the veteran right hander was a scount from the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals have shown interest in Peavy before, most recently during last years trade deadline.
Cardinals parachuted in yesterday to scout Peavy. Remember they had a lot of interest in him at deadline last season

Peavy, 33, is making $14.5 million this season and has a $15 million player option for 2015. Though 18 starts this season Peavy is just 1-7 sporting a 4.64 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP.
If the Red Sox do decide to be sellers they will likely not ask for much in return for Peavy.
