An elbow issue has delayed the announcement of a deal between No. 1 overall pick Brady Aiken.
The Astros and Aiken seemed set to make the deal official which would have given him $6.5 million, well below the $7.9 million slot value of the No. 1 pick.
Now CBSSports.com reports that the Astros are trying to get Aiken down to a $5 million deal after expressing concerns with his elbow ligament.
The Astros are said to have discovered the issue at a medical exam done just prior to when they were expected to announce a deal.
