Mets prospects arrested after drag racing

Two players for the Kingsport Mets were arrested Friday morning in Tennessee for drag racing.

Wuilmer Becerra Benavente, 19, and Vicente Lupo Perez, 30, were both driving vehicles in excess of 100 miles per hour when police pulled them over. Neither man have a drivers license when pulled over.

Benavente was driving a 2013 Dodge Challenger at 107 miles per hour while Perez was doing 104 in a Ford Mustang reports WCYB.

Kingsport general manager Brian Paupeck said that the team was aware of the incident.
