The Atlanta Braves defeated the Houston Astros 4-0 on Wednesday night but it was not without concern as first baseman Freddie Freeman left the game after being hit by a pitch.

Freeman was hit by a Darin Downs pitch in the eighth inning of the game. He was able to flex his elbow but until more information is released there is no telling the extent of his injury.

Freeman was 1-for-3 in Wednesdays game. On the season he is hitting .286/.375/.495 with 12 home runs and 37 RBI in 77 games.

In a bit of good news for the Braves, Alex Wood pitched seven shutout innings in his return to the rotation.
