Kevin Gausman earned his second win of the 2014 season on Thursday night when he allowed just one run over six innings against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Since being recalled Gausman has now won two straight starts allowing just two runs across 13 innings of work. Gausman has allowed just nine hits over those two starts.

On the season he has a 3.71 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, and an 11/6 K/BB ratio in 17 innings of work. He will face the Tampa Bay Rays the next time he takes the mound.

Blue Jays pitcher Mark Buehrle was trying for his Major League best 11th win of the year but was denied after allowing four runs over 6 1/3 innings of work.

It was not a awful showing by the left hander who will take a 2.28 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and a typical 55/26 K/BB ratio on the road against the New York Yankees next time out.
