Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez left Tuesday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks after aggravating an injury to his left index finger.
Gonzlaez, 28, has been dealing with the injury for a few weeks now. During Tuesday’s game the finger again swelled up and forced him to leave after the fifth inning.
Currently the Rockies have listed Gonzalez as being out day-to-day but there is a good chance he gets an extended time away from the team.
Gonzalez is hitting .255/.307/.449 this season with eight home runs and 31 RBI. Prior to leaving Tuesday he was 0-for-2.
