Back injury forces Mike Trout out of game

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout had to leave Tuesday’s game early after experiencing discomfort in his back.

Trout, 22, missed two games this weekend with mid-back discomfort. He underwent some therapy during Monday’s off day but lasted only into the second inning before being pulled.

The Angels finally had their everyday lineup back on the field with Josh Hamilton returning but Trout made it just one at-bat, striking out.

Thus far the Angels have not released any updates about his status going forward but a trip to the disabled list is a real possibility.

On the season Trout is hitting .293/.379/.546 with 11 home runs and 38 RBI.
