Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Mark Buehrle became the first pitcher to nine wins in a 9-6 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.

Buehrle continues to rack up the wins and keep runs from scoring this season. He allowed four runs, three earned, on eight hits and a walk. He also recorded threes strike outs.

On the season Buehrle now holds a 9-1 record to go with a 2.33 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP. Given his assortment of pitches there is bound to be a few more bad outings from the left hander this season. Overall Buehrle should give the Blue Jays the 200 innings they were hoping for and some solid numbers overall.

The Blue Jays have now won eight straight games and are starting to pull away in the AL East.
