Atlanta Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons left Tuesday’s game with an ankle inflammation.

Dan Uggla entered the game at second while Ramiro Pena moved to shortstop. Expect the Braves to list Simmons as day-to-day going forward.

On the season Simmons is hitting .266 with four home runs and 13 RBI. He was the recipient of the NL Gold Glove at shortstop and won the Platinum Glove.

The Red Sox defeated the Braves 6-3 on Tuesday.
