In what figures to be only a temporary move the Atlanta Braves have sent young left hander Alex Wood to the bullpen.
With Gavin Floyd joining the Braves rotation someone was going to lose their spot. It turned out to be Wood who was 2-5 to start the season despite a 3.00 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP in seven starts.

Wood will eventually earn his way back into the Braves, likely at the expense of Floyd or Aaron Harang. In the mean time the Braves will be able to limit Wood’s innings to some extent. He could be in the bullpen for only a week or two.
