As many as five teams are interested in free agent relief pitcher Joel Hanrahan reports John Heyman of CBS Sports.
Hanrhan is working his way back from Tommy John surgery on his right pitching elbow. A few weeks ago Hanrhan threw as fast as 93 mph during a pitching session.
Heyman lists the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies and Texas Rangers all as teams who could make a play for the two-time former All-Star in Hanrahan.
The 32-year-old Hanrhan has recorded 100 saves during his MLB career to go along with a 22-18 record and a 3.85 ERA.
Hanrhan is believed to have been offered a contract by multiple teams but wants to put on another throwing session before he signs. Ideally he would be ready to contribute at the big league level in June.
