Matt Garza diagnosed with thumb contusion

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Matt Garza was forced out of his Wednesday start in the fourth inning. Following Garza’s exit from the contest the Brewers announced that he had a right thumb contusion.

Currently Garza is considered day-to-day and is not expected to miss his next outing.

Against the Cardinals he allowed five runs on five hits and four walks in just three innings before leaving in the fourth.
