The Arizona Diamondbacks will be without outfielder Mark Trumbo for the next six weeks.
Trumbo is dealing with a metatarsal stress fracture in his left foot. It is a tough break for Trumbo and the Diamondbacks.
“The plantar (fasciitis) at times has been pretty bad but manageable,” Trumbo said. “That’s what you have to do. You’ve got to earn a living and play. This was to the point where I severely had to compensate running-wise to the point where I probably wouldn’t be much of an asset on either side.”

With Trumbo out of the lineup the Diamondbacks will roll with Gerardo Parra, Cody Ross and A.J. Pollock in their outfield.
Roger Kieschnick was recalled from Triple-A to take Trumbo’s roster spot.
Trumbo had a .210/.264/.506 line with a league high seven home rums and 19 RBI in his first 21 games with the Diamondbacks.
