Following Tuesday’s game Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia said that outfielder Kyle Calhoun will be heading to the disabled list.
Calhoun rolled his ankle while running past first base in the 11th inning of Tuesday’s 10-9 loss to Oakland.
“I just rolled it and it hurt real bad,” said Calhoun. “It’s just a freak thing, you know?”
Before the injury Calhoun hit a two-run home run in the game but he was seen on crutches following the game. Collin Cowgill currently is in line for more at-bats.
Scioscia told reporters that Calhoun (ankle) will definitely go on DL. That's Hamilton and Calhoun….could Sam Fuld be a target for them?
