Jim Thome throws out awful first pitch at minor league game

Future MLB Hall of Famer Jim Thome spent much of his career at first base or DH. On Friday night Thome threw out the first pitch for the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.

The five-time All-Star’s ceremonial pitch sailed high and outside and produced laughter even from Thome.

Thome had 2,328 hits in his big league career with 612 home runs. Thome last played in the major leagues in 2012.
