The Atlanta Brave are likely to be without shortstop Andrelton Simmons again on Friday.

Simmons sat out Thursday dealing with a wrist injury that took place when he fell across home plate on Wednesday’s game.

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said that Simmons is having more trouble swinging the bat than he is throwing the ball in the infield.

Ramiro Pena started in place on Simmons on Thursday night. Simmons is considered day-to-day at this point.

Simmons is hitting .321/.323/.357 this season with two runs scored and two driven in in eight games this season.

The Braves lost to the Mets on Thursday by a 6-4 score.
