The Tampa Bay Rays have placed pitcher Matt Moore on the 15-day disabled list with a injury to his left pitching elbow.
Moore, 24, left Monday’s outing against the Kansas City Royals after experiencing discomfort in his elbow. An MRI was performed on Tuesday and thus far the results were inconclusive. Moore will now head to see Dr. James Andrews. If there is any sign of hope it is that Andrew Friedman said the pitcher was currently feeling good. The Rays have gone ahead and placed him on the DL.

Moore had made two starts this season going 0-2 with a 2.70 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP in 10 innings of work.
Cesar Ramos and Erik Bedard are the main candidates to replace Moore in the Rays rotation.
