The Atlanta Braves will begin the 2014 season with Julio Teheran as their Opening Day starter.
Teheran, 23, is expected to be followed by Alex wood, Freddy Garcia and David Hale as the Braves season gets underway on March 31 in Milwaukee.
A season ago Teheran made 30 starts posting a 14-8 record to go with a 3.20 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP across 185 2/3 innings of work.
Ervin Santana is expected to be ready to pitch on April 9 when the Braves would need a fifth starter.
Before long Mike Minor will join the rotation while Gavin Floyd is expected to be ready in May.
