The Arizona Diamondbacks have given extensions to general manager Kevin Towers and manager Kirk Gibson.
Terms of the deals for Towers and Gibson are currently unknown as it was the team who broke the news via it’s twitter account. Both were entering the final year of their contracts.

Gibson has been the manager of the Diamondbacks since mid-2010 while Towers joined not too long after. That both are locked up to extensions will avoid any complication about lame duck status.
The Diamondbacks were 81-81 last season. Since Gibson took over the team is a combined 290-279.
