The Houston Astros have signed pitcher Jerome Williams to a contract.
According to Chris Cotillo, Williams new deal is of the major league variety where he will also have chances to earn some performance bonuses.

Williams wanted to have a shot at a rotation spot and he will get that in Houston. The 32-year-old right hander threw 169 1/3 innings for the Astros lat season finishing with a 4.57 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP.
The Los Angeles Angels non-tendered him at the end of the season.
