Grady Sizemore has not appeared in a major league game since 2011 but the 31-year-old outfielder has scored a big league contract with the Boston Red Sox.

The deal between Sizemore and the Red Sox includes plenty of incentives from appearances and number of days spent on the teams roster.

Sizemore’s initial salary is $750,000 but incentives could bring it up to $6 million according to the Boston Globe.

The Red Sox are banking on Sizemore being fully healthy from microfracture surgery on his right knee in September 2012. He will compete for a roster space and could supplant Jackie Bradley in center field.
