A little over a month ago it appeared that left handed relief pitcher Eric O’Flaherty was on his way to re-signing with the Atlanta Braves.

Now the guy who passed along that information, David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, is saying that the team and O’Flaherty have not had any recent discussions.

O’Flaherty is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is not expected to be ready util after the season starts.

No other teams have publicly been linked to O’Flaherty .

O’Flaherty will turn 29 before Spring Training gets underway. He appeared in 19 games last season finishing with a 2.50 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP. He has been a mainstay in the Braves bullpen since 2009. During his time in Atlanta, O’Flaherty has appeared in 295 games with a 1.99 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP.
