The New York Yankees reportedly have been considering Joaquin Benoit.
Benoit, 36, could be used as either competition for David Robertson in the closers role or simply as a setup man. He posted a 2.01 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and racked up a 73/22 K/BB ratio in 67 innings of work for the Tigers in 2013 while notching 24 saves.

The Tigers added Joe Nathan as their closer on a two-year deal earlier this offseason.
