Tigers announce a pair of coaches

New Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus will have a pair of  coaches from the Philadelphia Phillies on his staff.

Joining Ausmus in Detroit will be Mick Billmeyer and Wally Joyner.

Billmeyer will be the new bullpen coach of the Tigers after spending the last ten seasons with the Phillies. During his time with the Phillies, Billmyer had been serving as a bullpen coach and a catching instructor. He was let go at the end of the 2013 season.

Ausmus will also have Joyner with him. A former teammate of Ausmus, Joyner had been the hitting coach with the Phillies. He will take over that same role with the Tigers after notifying the Phillies that he would not return for the 2014 season.

The Phillies will be looking to remake their coaching staff under Sandberg as he begins his first full season with the club as manager.
