The Toronto Blue Jays have signed Dan Johnson.
Johnson, 34, has signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays which includes an invitation to Spring Training.
The only action Johnson saw at the big league level last season came with the Baltimore Orioles and amounted to three games and five at-bats.
Johnson compiled a .250/.378/.439 line over 138 games at the Triple-A level. He also managed 21 home runs, 26 doubles and drove in 70.
The signing of Johnson is simply to provide the Blue Jays with depth.
