The Kansas City Roy’s acquired utility man Emilio Bonifacio in a trade with Toronto on Wednesday.
Toronto will get either cash considerations or a player to be named later.
Bonifacio was one of many Blie Jays having a tough season. He was hitting .218/.258/.321over 94 games.
The addition of Bonifacio gives the Royals a player who has speed and can field multiple positions.
in order to clear a spot for him the Royals placed Miguel Tejada on the 60-day disabled list.
